DRT Kick-off Breakfast at THE COLLECTION
Ready. Set. Porsche! THE COLLECTION was proud to be the title sponsor of DRT 2020. To kick-off DRT Weekend, The Collection Porsche opened its doors for a Breakfast Rally on February 7th to kick-off the DRT Track Day at Miami-Homestead Speedway. Guests arrived at The Collection at 6:30 a.m. for our famous Porsche concours on Aurora Street. Inside our piazza, Master Crepes food truck prepared fresh crepes while Aroma Espresso brewed coffee for all guests inside the Porsche Showroom. Florida Highway Patrol gathered everyone inside the showroom for a quick safety meeting on rallying to the track and then lined everyone on the street for the rally. One by one, these Porsche’s took off and made their way to Homestead-Miami Speedway for a day on the track.

On Saturday, February 8th, The Collection Porsche reopened its doors for its signature Cars & Coffee event. Over 600 Porsche enthusiasts gathered at THE COLLECTION to celebrate this iconic Porsche fun weekend. Attendees were encouraged to display their own Porsche models, from rally cars to GT3Rs models and every Porsche in between, there was a Porsche for everyone to appreciate whether they were new to the Porsche world or avid Porsche aficionados. Along with exploring our one-of-a-kind Porsche workshop upstairs, guests enjoyed a delicious breakfast with coffee, pancakes, mimosas and more. The star of the show was the head-turning Porsche Taycan inside the showroom. Guests had the chance the sit inside, ask questions and schedule test drive appointments for the Taycan.
DRT VIP Cocktail
On Saturday night, The Collection hosted the DRT VIP Cocktail Event inside their VIP tent in South Miami. Guests had the chance to explore the all-new Porsche Taycan and enjoy refreshments sponsored by Peroni and Fiji. Outside the tent, attendees had the chance to score their Porsche gear at The Collection’s pop-up Boutique.

Then on Sunday, February 9th, the most anticipated Porsche event of the year arrived, and Porsche fans and owners flocked to South Miami for the annual Das Renn Treffen (DRT) Porsche event. The Collection Porsche took part by hosting a VIP tent for attendees with savory bites, refreshments including complimentary water provided by FIJI water, a Bark Bar for pets provided by The Dog From Ipanema and lastly, the star of the show: the Porsche Taycan. With over 800 Porsche enthusiasts in attendance, THE COLLECTION VIP tent was the place to be.
An early rise to the day calls for hot coffee and donuts, and the VIP tent did not disappoint. Aroma Espresso and The Salty Donut provided fresh coffee and gourmet donuts for our early risers. Along with coffee and donuts, Town Kitchen and bar provided food throughout the day and guests were treated to Peroni beer, Dewars, Rose’, champagne and an open bar.
Although DRT is filled with all kinds of different model Porsche’s, the star of the show was center stage inside our VIP tent. The Taycan stole the show. Guests were encouraged to look around the new model and interact with our onsite sales team to gain more information on this sleek new model.
